Using the v2 Looker connector

Instructions for using Tracksuit’s v2 connector to pull data into Looker

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Use this link to access the connector.

You will be taken to a configuration screen where you will need to input an API token.

  • For your token, paste your bearer token which can be generated from the Tracksuit App

    • Go to the Tracksuit App

    • Go to Account Settings

    • Click "Tokens"

    • Follow the steps to generate a token

Choose your account_brand

Once you have provided an API token, explore the account_brands that you have access to and select one.

Configure your initial filters

There are two filters for you to confirm initially.

You must confirm all filters in order for the connector to work.

  • Wave Start Date: This is the date you want to start pulling data from.

  • Wave End Date: This is the end date for your data. Put the most current month.

If you would like to be able to use Wave Dates other than what you have specified then you can tick the checkboxes to the right. This will allow you to set them as different values for different charts.

Create a report or explore the data set

Once you have finished the configuration, all the data for the given configuration will be pulled from Tracksuit into Looker.

You can then create a report or explore the data set.

  • Brand Name: The name of the brand we have data for (surprisingly!). This might be your brand, or a competitor brand.

  • Category Name: The name of your category.

  • Filter: The demographic filter. Set this to "TOTAL" or exclude it from your tables and charts to see values for all people.

  • Question Type: Allows you to chose different Funnel metrics:

    • PROMPTED_AWARENESS

    • CONSIDERATION

    • USAGE

    • PREFERENCE

  • Percentage: Your results in percentage format (e.g. Awareness of 40%).

If you ticked the checkboxes to be able to modify the wave date values in reports, these will be configurable as parameters when you create and edit charts.
