My sales have recently gone up but usage in Tracksuit remains unchanged. How can that be?

Usage is a lagged measure.

This is because most numbers in the dashboard are reported on a 3 month rolling basis.

  • This means the figures for the current month represent an average of the last 3 months, and that sales data won't be reflected in usage immediately.

Finally, sales can sometime be a leading measure:

  • Sales to distributors, retailers or venues (rather than sales to end consumers for example) mean that sales may occur before actual consumption.

  • In other words, your sales increases, but a consumer hasn't actually used your product (which means this won't show up in usage data).
